Shipping & Delivery Policy
At Lilac & Thyme, every bouquet is freshly prepared by hand. Because flowers are perishable, timely and accurate delivery is extremely important.
Please review the details below before placing your order.
1. Delivery Areas
We currently deliver within:

Wirral, Merseyside

Surrounding areas within a 10-mile radius
If you are unsure whether we deliver to your postcode, please contact us before ordering.
We reserve the right to decline orders outside our delivery zone.
2. Delivery Charges
Delivery fees are calculated at checkout based on postcode.
Additional charges may apply for:

Timed delivery requests

Large event installations
-
Peak periods (e.g. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas)
All delivery charges will be shown before payment is confirmed.
3. Delivery Times
Standard delivery takes place between:
Monday–Saturday: [Insert Hours, e.g. 9am–5pm]
We are unable to guarantee specific delivery times unless agreed in advance and confirmed in writing.
During peak periods (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas), deliveries may take place outside normal hours.
4. Same-Day Delivery
Same-day delivery may be available for orders placed before:

Availability cannot be guaranteed during busy periods.
5. If the Recipient Is Not Home
If the recipient is unavailable at the time of delivery, we may:

Leave the flowers in a safe place

Leave them with a neighbour

Leave a delivery card with instructions
By placing an order, you authorise us to use reasonable judgment in leaving flowers safely.
Lilac & Thyme is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage once the order has been delivered to the address provided.
6. Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate delivery details.
If incorrect information is supplied:

Redelivery charges may apply

We cannot guarantee same-day replacement

Refunds will not be issued for failed deliveries due to incorrect details
If we are required to make multiple delivery attempts, additional charges may apply.
7. Delivery to Businesses, Hospitals & Venues
When delivering to:

Offices

Hospitals

Hotels
-
Event venues
Delivery is deemed complete once the order has been handed to reception or authorised personnel.
We are not responsible for internal distribution within the building.
8. Weather & Unforeseen Circumstances
We are not liable for delivery delays caused by:

Severe weather
-
Road closures
-
Traffic disruption
-
Vehicle breakdown
-
Events beyond our reasonable control
In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange delivery as soon as possible.
9. National Shipping
If offering courier-based UK delivery for certain products:

Only non-fragile arrangements or postal bouquets may be shipped

Delivery times are estimates and depend on courier services
-
We are not responsible for delays once parcels are with the courier
Full care instructions will be included.
10. Responsibility & Risk
Responsibility for the goods passes to the customer once delivery has been completed at the address provided.
We recommend ensuring someone is available to receive perishable items where possible.
